G2 Odyssey System

$7,350

(with everything!)

Complete & delivered (insured/registered/P to P) to your door!

The Odyssey system, featuring the huge 10.4" full colour display, is the largest in the remarkable MGL Advanced EFIS range.

The system package includes everything (including 4 EGT & CHT sensors) required for a fully functioning EFIS. The package includes the Odyssey panel and all modules (excepting I/O & COM modules required by some users - see notes below), together with the engine and fuel flow sensors. Included items listed below:

  • Odyssey panel (with integrated GPS, transponder encoder & integrated auto pilot);
  • Engine module (12 channel - RDAC-XB);
  • AH module (SP4);
  • Compass module (SP2);
  • GPS antenna;
  • Ambient Air temperature sender (alloy housing);
  • 4 x EGT (threaded/integrated jubilee clamp) + 4 CHT (ring washer type) sensors;
  • MGL Fuel flow sensor;
  • Back-up battery (high quality 12V 3.2AH sealed lead acid cell battery);
  • Cables connecting the GPS antenna, engine and other included modules to the Odyssey panel. EGT & CHT sensors connect to the engine module.

If additional EGT/CHT sensors are required, add $75 per EGT sender (threaded), $83 per EGT with integrated jubilee clamp, $57 per CHT sensor (washer type); and $78 per bayonet type CHT sensor (Lycoming/Continental). If manifold pressure is required the RDAC-XD engine module is required rather than the RDAC-XB (add $116).

The alloy bodied Floscan fuel flow sensor which is suitable for threaded AN type coupling fuel lines can also be specified in place of the MGL fuel flow sensor at additional cost ($100).

If it is required, the I/O Extender module can be specified - $299 (including current shunt). The I/O Extender expands the I/O interface capabilities of MGL EFIS systems and provides the capability for current monitoring. Functions like; remote operation of the Odyssey panel through control stick mounted buttons; flap position; undercarriage up/down/locked; door & hatch open/closed contacts, liquid level switches etc. can be displayed on Odyssey screens. Similarly, alarms can be triggered (spoken voice; light; dialogue box).

If it is required, the COM Extender module can be specified - $299. It increases the number of RS232 serial ports from 2 to 6 (2 are available on EFIS); includes the servo interface section of the integral autopilot; and provides (as part of this) four PWM outputs for servos accepting this type of signal. Up to 4 Trio digital servos and 4 PWM servos can be connected.

The SP-5 AH module may be substituted for the SP4 AH module. The SP5 is intended for applications requiring exceptional, professional level performance from the AHRS system. The SP5 is based on RING gyros designed by BAe Systems and adds $1,300 to the system cost.

Items not supplied in the package, include:

  • Trio Gold Standard auto pilot servos;
  • I/O Extender module (see note above);
  • COM Extender module (see note above);
  • Oil pressure, oil temperature, water temp senders and tacho pickup (Lycoming/Continental) can be supplied, but, existing senders which are fitted to engines can be used in virtually every instance.
  • Fuel level senders (virtually any existing sender can be used) or we can supply.
  • Any hardware (bolts, nuts, cable ties, etc.) required other than those which are supplied to secure the panel and engine module.

A second Odyssey can be added to create a dual panel system
