There is no shying away from the fact that the Odyssey requires a lot of panel space - 316 mm x 202 mm (but, depth is less than 120 mm including plug connections!).

However, you will not need anything else in your panel as the Odyssey (like the Voyager and Enigma) does everything and each of the 9 screens can be (user) designed to include/exclude any function you wish, placed and sized as you wish. Odyssey, Voyager and Enigma have almost every conceivable function including: AH/compass; all flight functions; AOAttack; 12/24 channel engine; GPS/moving map; 3D terrain/terrain warning; HITS; VOR, ILS, GLS, GVOR; 'black box' recording; included transponder encoder; output to Autopilots; 'spoken voice' alerts; etc. etc... Note that new features are being added all the time and that using the Odyssey interface differs somewhat, as it has 5 more buttons and two rotary knobs - making the interface even simpler to use.

Odyssey (Voyager & Enigma) systems have been designed to be 'future proofed,' with simple software upgradeability (download the latest system file onto the Odyssey's SD card; insert the card; turn on the system; and it upgrades itself in 30 - 40 seconds!). In addition, the processor module can be unplugged and replaced if/when a more powerful CPU is required. What's more, the display screen can be easily replaced, if an even better display becomes available in the future.

Another of the innovative features of the Odyssey (Voyager & Enigma) is that our advanced VHF radio ('black box' version) can be placed behind your panel, as all radio operations can be conducted through the Odyssey.

Dual Odyssey (linked) panels are an attractive choice for larger aircraft panels, providing complete avionics/comms displays for both LH and RH seats (and redundancy).

Love the Odyssey, but, feel daunted because you think that such advanced technology must be difficult to install and operate ? Don't be ! Installation is very straight forward - for example, rather than a whole loom of cables running from the engine bay - there is a single 3 mm cable. Set-up and operation is also straight forward. Even the most sophisticated functions are easy to set up and utilise, reflecting the fact that this system has been designed by a pilot for pilots. Accordingly, great care has has been taken to ensure that the Odyssey has a very simple and logical interface. For example, lots of buttons on the panel mean many in-flight operations only require the press of a single button.

And when something needs attention, Odyssey talks to you! As it does, when you cross airspace boundaries. It will even read out your speed on take and landing! (and many, many, other things including all engine parameters and other alerts).

So, if you have been hankering for the fabulous Garmin G1000 avionics system (and who wouldn't have!), but, had to choose bewtween it and an aircraft, then hanker no longer!

The Ultra Horizon XL!

The Ultra Horizon XL combines all the functions of all the previous Ultra models into one, sleek looking instrument and then provides much more! Not just a few additional, possibly rarely used features, but, major new innovations.

The Ultra Horizon XL has 2 easily (user!) customisable display screens, which you can toggle between by the push of a button. One screen for example, can be made up to show your primary flight instruments while the other screen can be configured to show the attitude indicator and engine monitoring information. It is up to you to decide how it looks, the number and choice of instruments included in each screen and their presentation style (e.g. analogue or tape). About fifty options to choose from!

The Ultra Horizon XL also comes with 12 thermocouple channels! That's 6 EGT's and 6 CHT's which can be monitored, plus water, oil temperature/pressure etc ... plus monitoring of fuel levels in 2 fuel tanks ... G meter ... not to mention AH/Compass functions and so much more!

Smart Singles Engine Monitoring Systems

Very Capable, Very Compact, Very Affordable Systems. Stratomaster has extended the boundaries of small footprint instrumentation by introducing the 'Smart Singles' mini Engine Monitoring Systems collection.

The Quad EGT/CHT (TC-1) has a configurable EGT/CHT four channel display. It can be used as single channel, dual channel, three channel or four channel display unit. Each input can be used to display a CHT or EGT channel. The display for each channel includes a bar graph and a digital readout. Each can have a temperature alarm programmed to switch an alarm light or buzzer.

The EMS-582 is a full house, single instrument engine monitoring system for all makes of water cooled 2-stroke engines - incorporating: digital rev counter, water temp bar graph with digital read out and alarm, 2 x EGT bar graphs with digital read out and alarms, 2 x CHT bar graphs with digital read out and alarms, hobbs meter and flight timer.
